Posted by Ryan Clark on Aug 20, 2008
Edge was scheduled to wrestle Triple H at this Saturday’s SmackDown/ECW house show at the Canton Memorial Civic Center in Canton, Ohio, but the main event has since been changed to a “SmackDown Tag Team Special Attraction Match” pitting Undertaker & Triple H vs. The Great Khali and MVP.
Aaron Davis, the new referee making his WWE debut on last night’s edition of ECW is actually Goose Mahoney, a referee from WWE developmental Florida Championship Wrestling.
To kick off the partnership between WWE and myNetworkTV, the first-ever broadcast presentation of WrestleMania XXIV will air on Thursday, October 2 at 8 p.m. The very next night, Friday, October 3, SmackDown will premiere on the network. For more on WWE moving to myNetworkTV, visit WWE.com.
Reader High Voltage sent in the following, which is a MySpace blog posted by former ECW valet Francine Fournier: A sad update Just wanted to let you all know that both my Father and my sister have cancer and they both have 6 months or less to live (at least that’s what the doctors told us). I am beyond upset right now. I appriciate all of your prayers and ask you to please continue to pray for them because miracles do happen. I just don’t want them to suffer. I am going to spend as much time as I possibly can with both of them, so I won’t be on here that much anymore, at least not while this is going on. I just wanted to say that I appriciate each and every one of you and love you all very much. Again, please keep my Daddy and Chrissy and my family in your prayers. Thank you all so very much. Francine xo
